Hello, I'm Christina Borland, founder of Go Veggie Girl, LLC and author of the Go Veggie Girl eLibrary.
In 2008, I learned about the health and spiritual benefits of a vegetarian diet in a yoga and meditation program. Within a few days, I made the transition to a vegetarian diet, taking several more years to transition to an all organic, vegan diet. I also began choosing natural skin and hair care options, cleaning products, clothing, and home furnishings that were free of the toxic chemicals giving me headaches, itchy dry skin, and other side effects.
The transition to an organic, vegan, chemical free lifestyle was not always an easy or direct path for sure! However, I found that as I made better choices according to what my body needed, my health, energy level and mood greatly improved. And feeling good tasted so much better than any food I had left behind!
From my experiences and hard learned lessons along the way, I now help others make the transition to a veg, organic diet and an eco-friendly lifestyle more smoothly and successfully.
My deep knowledge of the impact of food and environmental factors on one's well-being comes from studying mainstream Western medical and scientific literature, alternative medicine articles, webinars, and books, Ayurveda (an ancient holistic wellness approach originating in India), personal experience and observation, and my work with clients with many different health and lifestyle situations.
In 2024, I completed an online 6 month Diploma program with The School of Ayurveda and Panchakarma in Kerala, India (www.ayurvedacollege.net). The profound understanding of the human body that I gained from this program has been incredibly beneficial to my own health and in my work with clients.
Go Veggie Girl is your Guide to Organic Vegan Eating and Green Living. I look forward to helping in your journey to a healthier, happier you!
